Jake Billo
Jake is pursuing education in Computer Science and the Business Administration fields. He was employed by Research in Motion and IBM as part of the University of Waterloo co-op program. Jake wrote technical documentation and developed tools for Eclipse in IBM’s Software Group, alternating work from onsite in Markham, Ontario as well as remotely from Waterloo.
Prior to attending university, Jake worked for Maplesoft (Waterloo Maple) from 2004 – 2005, assisting with programs marketing and internal tools development. He also developed several multimedia software training packages for the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.
Jake initially started repairing and servicing computers in 2001, when the Government of Ontario introduced a standardized report card for elementary schools. As a result of the new technology requirements, he began performing in-home support for teachers and school support staff. Educational clients are still a large part of Jake’s focus, and he can provide comprehensive technical support for school board systems and K-12 software.
Unique services that Jake offers include home theatre recommendations and installation, advanced or complicated development projects, and high-end technology consultation.
